If you are at the scene of the accident, you will be informed by the attending Emergency Services personnel, as to what happens next.

Police will attend the scene of the accident and obtain initial information about the death from family, friends and witnesses.

They will also arrange to transfer the deceased from the scene of the accident to the coroner’s mortuary.

The police will arrange for the formal identification of the deceased and prepare an initial report for the coroner.  If required they will assist the coroner during the investigation.
