Flowers create an atmosphere of warmth and beauty, which adds to the dignity and compassion of the funeral service.

A funeral director can organise flowers or you have the option of using a florist of your own choice.

Funeral flowers can be of any shape or size, and funeral directors and florists will be able to assist you with your choices.

Options available to you, include the following:

Types of Flowers:  There are many different options when choosing what type of flower arrangements to have at a funeral service. Please see the ‘Funeral Flower Choices’ section on our website for the range of options available to you.

Flower Offering:  In addition to the flower arrangements for the coffin and venue, there is the option of placing single flowers on the coffin as part of the service, either by family and friends, or by inviting all guests to participate.  This can be done at the church/chapel, or in the case of a burial, at the graveside committal.  Petals can also be scattered at the graveside.

Preservation of Flowers:  Your flowers can be preserved and framed with options to select presentation layout, frame style & colours to go inside the frame. You can simply have the flowers on their own in the frame or you can include photos and memorabilia.

Flower Gifts for Guests:  Flowers can be given to guests as a remembrance gift. The flowers can match the coffin spray or be completely different.  You may prefer bright coloured and cheerful flowers, or a popular choice is rosemary which is a symbol of remembrance.
