If you would like to thank those who attended the funeral, you have a number of choices.

A handwritten letter is always appreciated, and you may wish to thank mourners in this way if you have the time.

Pre-printed stationery will reduce the workload, and appropriate cards are available from newsagents and stationery supplies.

You may wish to personalise your thank you cards, and if you do not wish to design these yourself, there are many businesses that cater for memorial card design and printing.

Another option for expressing your thanks is by placing a notice in a newspaper, and if your prefer your funeral director may be able to assist you with this option.

Make a list of all those who sent funeral flowers, made a donation, assisted with the funeral arrangements, prepared food or did something that extra special. You may like to include these details in your thank you note.

Don’t feel pressured into sending a funeral thank you note to everyone. If you don’t feel up to it, ask for assistance from a family member or friend who can help with the task.  That leaves you to only think about the wording.
